oracle
I noticed this morning that one of C.leptosoma 'jumbo' was swimming erratically. He looked as if he was trying to maintain his buoyancy by staying vertically upright (head upwards). Other fish in the tank seem ok. I have not checked the water parameters as I only did a water change a few days ago. The tank has been established for quite some time. There's no visible injury on this fish. Breathing seems to be normal. I have placed him in a holding container but he doesn't seem to be getting any better. Is there something I can do to remediate this condition? Currently he's just sitting on the bottom of the container. Thanks.
anchar
Head up is unusual..head down and I'd guess it had taken in air whilst eating. Sorry can't help, although it doesn't sound too good. Has someone bashed it? merjo
oracle
I am not too sure if he's been bashed. I can't see any visible injury although he seems quite lethargic and is currently just lying on the bottom of the container. I have read that it might be a swim bladder problem (??) If so, is there a cure for it? Most of the articles I have read suggest that it's a death sentence. I hope not..
oracle
No response? I suppose he's doomed now. I'll have to kill him tonight then.
