Eaglebarret
Ive got Anubis in my tank in a pot and the fish barely touch it, so i would reccomend trying that. Or fake plants which they certainly wont touch
Metalion
Hi yellow, For me, Anubias nana was the best. Any Anubias species were OK with mbunas + BN. For plants not belong to Anubias family... I always fed my fish with zuccini (spell correct?) and pumpkin pieces. So my fish didn't care about Amazon sword (melon) and the others (I think) I also made floating java moss balls. BN liked it & used to jump on it. Hope this will help. Cheers! Mike
slinky
anubias are good, but the mbunas tend to but the tips of the young shoots, thus making it harder for the anubia to grow new leaves, so what im trying to say is try to get a mature plant as the mbunas will keep nibling on the young shoots. YeW
Virtually the only plant that'll last in a mbuna cichlid tank are those made of plastic. So... buy some fake ones... or get some plant tolerant cichlids.
