Terry
I have had several emails from people asking about water conditions for green Chromides.I breed lots of Angels, Cichla, polleni and a few native rainbows. All are bred in the same conditions as the Chromides. All the books claim that they are best kept in brackish water, I have been breeding them in soft water with a Ph of 7 to 7.5 I haven't checked the hardness for a couple of years but last time I looked it was very low. Some of the fry have had some salt added to their tanks and they don't seem to notice the difference. If your having hassels with gold Chromides killing each other add some greens as dithers, it's amazing how peacefull they get. Cheers Terry
