anchar
Hi all, I was just watching the fish in here tonight and hoped I could show you how nice it looked. Unfortunately the pic. doesn't really do it justice ....it's a 5 footer btw. merjo
Lv426
That still looks great A 5ft tank just for fry, wish I could let my fry grow up in a 5ft tank What have you got in them now?
Ducksta
merjo, how 'outside' is it? I experimented with fry outside in tubs/'ponds' last summer, and if we hadn't had somebody move into our house in early summer I would have built a system outside for fry this season (next year hopefully). I found growth rate and colour to be far superior to indoor tank reared fry from same batches. I also didn't feed them after the first few days outside as they had bugs/wrigglers/algael blooms to constantly munch on.
anchar
Thanks guys, Ducky> The tank is outside outside, sheltered only by the eaves. I also have a 4500L grow out pond that I use in summer. The problem arises in late April when I have to totally empty it to catch the fish (it is full of wood and rock and plants). It takes a full day to sort it out. Lv426> The fry are now about 4 - 5cm and still in the 5 footer. It is lovely to sit and watch at night merjo
