JJHamer
I have a group of 12 cobalt blues that I have raised from eggs to about 1 and a 1/2 inches in a grow out tank and I really want to add them to the tank holding my 3 adults. The problem is, I have 6 frontosas between 3 and 5 inches in the same tank as the adults. Will my fronties eat my baby cobalts or will there be enough of the little buggers to be ok? Also, I want to throw my 2 Alto Comps Golds (who are also 1 1/2 inches) into the same tank. Which fish can/should I put in the tank with my adults and fronties? Cheers, Vince
timmy2422
why dont you just take the holding females out?
Lepperfish
Shouldnt tanganyika and malwai fish have different water conditions anyway. Tanganyika's having a ph of around 9 and malawi 8 ?

BlakeyBoyR
In my experience the water conditions wont be that much of a problem. If you keep your PH about 8.4 then both Mal. and Tang. cichlids seem to be cool with it. As for whether your fronnies will make a meal of your fry, I doubt it. Fronts arent nearly as aggressive in my experience as everyone makes out. HOWEVER, if there is any doubt dont try it. As a general rule, if one fish can fit inside a larger fishes mouth, theres at least some chance that it will happen ... eventually.
