10050460
Have anyone use the pond melafix? the dose rate for the pond melafix is 5ml per 200lts. the normal melafix use 5ml per 40lts. have anyone tried the pond melafix in their fish tank instead of pond and got the same result from both melafix? I would rather buy the Pond melafix if they work the same. So much more economical.
E4G13M4N
Pond Melafix is just more concentrated for use in larger volumes of water. Other than that its the same just dont accidently use at the normal melafix dose rate
r.d.m
you can also buy a concentrated version of protozin(the best white spot cure imo)its a bit more expensive but twice as strong-again read the label to make sure which one you have
Graeme
Has anyone tried homemade melafix? Its sure is cheaper than shop bought stuff. I cant find the link ( i had it somewhere) Basically its just tea tree oil in distilled water. Graeme
Ash
you mean Alternafix? Costs me about $6-7 for 3 litres of normal strength, works exactly the same, just needs to be really shaken before use I use this stuff - a lot of brands are diluted with "multi purpose hydrocarbon liquid", get stuff that's 100%

10050460
hey mark_1, when you use the pond melafix, what ratio do you use for your aquarium? 5ml/200lts or 5ml/40lts?
Momo
hey mark_1, when you use the pond melafix, what ratio do you use for your aquarium? 5ml/200lts or 5ml/40lts? ← im guessing it would be at 5ml/200L. pond melafix is 5 times stronger, hence your using less.
