Bruce
Are there any of these in Australia? Bruce
Festae
They're not on the import list. Apart from that, they need a massive tank. The only place i could find where someone had them in a tank was a guy in germany who had them in a 1000 gal tank. They get well over a meter in length. I was thinking the same thing after watching Jewel of the rift, but you cant get them here. Not legally anyway. They're called Boulengerochromis microlepis have a search on the net and see what you can find
Alex
They are illegal to import, but are perfectly legal to keep once here, like ALOT of other fish. Their are a few around if you know where to look. Not cheap either. Alex
Bruce
A fish is only illegal to keep if they are declared noxious and that's not many. The max size is 3'. Also a problem would be that once it grew too big it'd hard to find a home for it. Bruce
Ash
exactly, don't get one unless you have a massive tank. Alex - have you ever had one? I know you've had 3' long fish before
