mattrox
18 - 20. If you have 3 species that are less likely to interbreed with 6 or 7 individual of each species.
Joel1985
I have got 5 Malawi blue dolphin juveniles, will they grow to big for a 90g?
mattrox
They will be fine for a while as they take time to out grow the tank. They really do need a 5ft, preferably larger tank when grown.
Joel1985
They only get to 8 " though don't they?
mattrox
That means a 4ft tank is only 6 body lengths.....

krellious
Bigger the better for any fish. Larger fish in a small area are likely to kill each other as it is harder to escape a dominate fish. Personally i would not keep them in a 4ft when fully grown. Also is the tank width 1.5ft? 45cm is not much larger then a fully grown dolphin:S
