joller
well i cracked my tank at the base by accidentally bumping the standpipe, im past the depressed phase and onto the fixing phase, this pic shows the damage and what i plan to dothe red arrows point to the crack, i've cut a piece of glass that fits over the crack and drilled a hole that matches up with the hole in the base, i've patched up cracks and holes before, but never re-plumbing through the patchwork.my question is has anyone tried this? and did it work?thanks, joel. Ged
I have replumbed a tank after putting in a new section of glass with no leaks. You may need to change your signature to "The tank is just empty"

Aquaholic
I think I'd use a bigger piece of glass. Don't be shy with the silicon either.
joller
its already in, but i probably should have cut it bigger...the only possible way for this to leak now is if my white sealant doesn't bond with the black sealant, fingers crossed
